I have looked for years at wooden hangers and never found any that seemed worth the money (flimsy, rough, just plain cheap......). I took a chance on these a couple of months ago and am thrilled with the quality and price. I am in the process of ridding my house of plastic hangers and now include a set of these in each of my Amazon orders - and will until all the plastic is gone!
I've just received these so I can't comment on their longevity, but they are nice looking hangers and seem to be well made. I bought them for my coat closet and they look so much better than the hodge podge collection I had before. They are smooth but not slippery so the coats do not slide off. The hooks are not huge but fit the rod fine and go on and off easily.
These wood hangers have a great natural finish and don't leave odd marks on your clothes. They are lightweight enough to use for everyday clothes, such as t-shirts and tank-tops, but heavy duty and can hold large winter coats. They are nice to the touch and are smooth, but not slippery. They come packaged extremely well, making sure nothing gets damaged on its way to you. I did receive this item free of charge in exchange for an honest review, and the person I was in contact with was extremely wonderful and professional. You also get 20 hangers with your order, so that's bang for your buck!
I had been using plastic hangers for years and now have tried these wood suit hangers. I have to say I love them, they look very nice, they are smooth and have a good curve to them. Clothes hang nicely on them and drape well with no marks from the hangers. I also used them to fold pants over and hang and love that there isn't a mark where the pants hang over the wooden rod. I use these for coats as well and they are sturdy and can hold a big bulky winter coat with no problem. I would recommend these hangers or give them as a gift.
