This is a very high quality guitar and set that comes with everything you need to start playing as soon as it arrives. My son has played for years, and when he reviewed it, he was very impressed. It is a great guitar with a beautiful look and sound. I love that the set also comes with a ton of accessories. The tuner is perfect since you want to get that perfect sound right out of the box. The stand and case are awesome for storing your guitar when not in use. The strings are necessary for upkeep and there are also a couple other great additions that make this a wonderful set that I highly recommend.

I regret not doing a little more research because I would have purchase the electric acoustic. Nevertheless, I'm a beginner at 58 years of age. I wanted to teach myself something new in 2016 so I'm be back with clip of my progress. But Trendy is very nice guitar for the price. And even my wife who is the music major says the sound is not bad (even with me trying to play).

I'll start out by saying that I am an absolute beginner with the ukulele and with musical instruments in general. My brother plays guitar beautifully and is self taught so I thought I'd channel the family talent and hope that I could play an instrument semi descent.

This ADM ukulele is so cute and is great for beginners. It is the standard soprano size (~21"), which is the size you think of when picturing ukulele in your head. Soprano ukuleles are the smallest size which make them perfect for traveling and for kids. It has that great jangly ukulele sound and will hold a tune long enough for a practice session or two. I tune mine daily before I practice and the next day when I get ready to play it's not that far out of tune.

This is a mahogany laminate ukulele, not a solid body, but that is fine if you're just getting started. The string are nylon and they are comfortable to play. If I practice for an hour my finger tips do not hurt like when I tried to learn the guitar. The price is great for those of you who are buying this to try it for the first time or to get your kids interested in an instrument. The quality is sound enough to let you learn the basics before paying big bucks for a Hawaiian made solid koa wood piece.

The kit comes with the ukulele, a soft gig bag with strap, 2 plastic picks, and a sound hole strap. It is not common to use plastic picks with a ukulele as strumming is normally done with just the hand. The bag could be better and it's a tight fit, especially around the tuners, so I noticed that I definitely have to tune it after taking it out of the bag.

I am extremely happy with this purchase and I'm very excited to be learning my first instrument. This was a great purchase!

I finally own my first ukulele!

This is so sweet! It's made of solid mahogany wood, built to last. I can tell a lot of special care was put into crafting this instrument.

It comes with two picks to start off with. Colors and design vary, I think, from those pictured. I got some rather colorful ones as opposed to the black ones on the product page. Hey, a pick is a pick.

The zippered case for it is a snug fit but it does the job. It's a soft case, so don't go throwing it around. It's mainly to keep moisture and dust away from it.

There is a basic strap included, as well.

I have always wanted to play one of these, and now it's time to learn. I'll have an 8-year-old boy in the house, soon, and perhaps we can learn to play together. I'm really looking forward to that!

This Ukulele is beautifully crafted. It has a wood satin finish with Ivory trimming. Comes with an easy carry shoulder black case. It offers hours of playing with minimal in-between tuning. The nut and saddle are just high enough for smooth playing. It has great resonance . This a a great Ukulele for a beginner as well as a professional player. This will keep my son busy for long periods of time. he also plays the trumpet and piano. Another great addition to his musical instruments.

I have never played a stringed instrument before and was a little nervous at first, but this 21-inch ukulele is the perfect start up instrument! It is beautifully crafted and has a lovely sound to it! My only complaint would be that the carrying case is relly cheap and the zipper was broken. But the main purchase was for the ukulele, which is perfect, especially for the price! I would definitely recommend this to someone.

This ukulele is perfect for beginners, both children and adults! This soprano sized ukulele comes package nicely, in a super duty cardboard box, so it arrives in perfect condition.
Upon receiving your ukulele, plan on spending around 5-10 minutes adjusting the strings, and tuning it. New ukuleles don't hold their tune very well for the first few weeks as they need to adjust to the temperature, humidity, and stretching....so plan on tuning it before playing it every time. You also have an electronic tuner, with battery included to help you find the correct notes on each string. The strings were loose as they came, but now that it is properly tuned, they feel great, and this ukulele is sounding great!

This is a great starter instrument. My daughter is five and playing chords and picking. I think even a beginning adult would be pleased with the sound. I used to play ukulele back in my teenage years, and thought it might be nice to pick it back up again. This is a nice ukulele set, and includes a carrying bag, strap, and two picks. I don't use picks, but they are nice looking, and I'm sure I'll find a use for them. The uke itself seems to be made well, and feels sturdy. It looks and feels nice enough that I certainly wouldn't be embarrassed playing it in front of other ukulele players. I had forgotten what a pain it is to tune a new ukulele for the first time, but I got it set pretty easily, with minimal slipping afterward. I did tighten down the screws, and would recommend doing that once it's in tune. It has a nice clean, bright sound. The grooves and frets all seem to be exactly as they should be, and I don't get any buzzing or any other intonation issues when I play.
This is a good solid ukulele for beginners, or for someone like me, who is relearning after a long time away from it. I have also started teaching my seven year old son, and he just loves it. I'm really pleased with the build and the sound overall, and am having a good time remembering all the things I had forgotten over the years. This is definitely a good instrument for the price, and I would happily recommend it.

After digging around some sites I settled on this ukulele. This is my first ukulele so I was looking for a mix of attractive and good sound. I had done a bit of reading ahead so it was no surprise in the beginning that it would need to be tuned frequently , like almost after every strum at first!! You could hear it fall out of tune.
But its been a week now and the strings need just a touch of adjustment before playing. just takes time for the strings to optimize. I down loaded a free tuner on my phone, Pocket Ukulele Tuner, from the playstore. Works great, easy, for frequent tuning if you put it on autotune.

This is a Beautiful Uke!, better than the pictures. it has a nice satin finish and a lovely shell(abalone) rosette. I love the way the wood glows when light shines over it. It seems very well made and so far, in my newbie opinion, sounds very nice. Sounding better as my playing improves for sure!
The gigbag it comes with is pretty much a dust cover, no padding. I would not feel safe using this for travel. Have not used the strap yet or the picks but they seem ok. I do wish a tuner had come with the Uke. Over all I think this is a great ukulele, glad I got it. Will update in afew months.

This ADM Mohogany Ukulele is super freakin awesome!! I ordered this for my daughter because she has been begging me for 1 and has been wanting to learn how to play for some time now. This is the perfect starter pack for anyone looking to start playing the ukulele or anyone who is very familiar with it as well! This set included the ukulele, a neck strap, a bag and 2 picks which are very nice and well made!!! The ukulele itself is 23 inches long, not too big or to small at all.... Perfect size!

This particular ukulele is made with a very pretty Mahogany finish and shiny chrome die cast turners! Any one looking for good quality, this ukulele has it all!! The body and neck are full mahogany freshly made with 12 brass frets! There are fret positions at the 5th, 7th and 10th frets on the neck and the top of the fingerboard!

The sound.....
I personally already had an electric tuner so tuning it was not an issue at all! Once I tuned it perfect, the sound of this ukulele was beautiful!! My daughter absolutely loves everything about this ukulele!! Overall this is 1 of the nicest ukulele I'v come across & I highly recommend to anyone looking for an affordable yet beautiful instrument!

I was amazed at the outstanding craftsmanship and tone quality of this "Starter Kit" Ukulele ! It is obviously made with care and precision, the picture here does not do justice to the use of fine wood, details, and workmanship. I have attached pictures to see it close -up. Also like that it comes with its own carrying case, strap, and cleaning clothes to protect and transport safely as well as picks to strum. The strings are well-made metal not cheap plastic like many "newbie" sets have, and OMGosh you cannot beat the price to help in encouraging a blooming artist who wants to give it a shot to learn an instrument. Really surprised at the quality and value of this instrument. Well, Done!

I bought 2 soprano uke's for my daughters, and fell in love with the instrument while getting them in tune for Christmas. So I had to get myself one too. The soprano was just a little too small for me, and I had problems with certain chords that needed multiple fingers bunched together (G7 for example), so I went for this concert size one. I am so glad I did!

The look of the uke is fantastic, the sound is deeper and richer than the sopranos, and I was very surprised how quickly the strings started to retain their tune. Of course, you always have to tune it, but this one holds it better than the other 2 during play. It's a very pretty instrument, and you won't be disappointed by the look. And like I said, it sounds better than sopranos due to the larger size.

The strings are the perfect distance to the frets along the entire neck, which makes it even easier to play, and it doesn't sound out of tune as you move up the neck. The quality of this uke compared to the other 2 sopranos from another manufacturer is superb! The only reason I haven't returned the other 2 and get them this one, is that my daughters wanted them in specific colors and this only comes in the beautiful mahogany color. But once they're over that and ready to move up, this is what I'm getting them!

So overall, this is a great instrument at a great price, and it is a BLAST to play and sing along with!! I have played piano and guitar for almost 45 years, and have never had so much fun playing an instrument. And this will be very easy for beginners to pick up and learn to play. My piano and guitar skills really don't help with the uke, except that I already know the chords to the songs I play, and know how to strum in different rhythms, and that will come with enough time and practice to the beginner. But I've been learning a lot of new songs that I've never tried to play before, and a websites that I found very helpful is ukutabs.com to get the chords for a lot of songs. And to help tune the uke, ukutuner.com is perfect and free (although I did buy them a clip-on digital tuner, since keeping it in tune is the most important thing to sounding good). But there are a lot of websites to help you with your new uke, not just those. I love how uke players are so enthusiastic and helpful to others.

And I did not get any discount for this 5-star review. I paid full price and it is well worth it. The carrying bag is also better than the one that came with the sopranos, and it has a strap which is helpful if I'm standing up. It took me a while to figure out how to attach the strap, and I had to google it! :-) It obviously goes around your neck, and then the other end goes behind the uke, wraps along the bottom, and the plastic hook gets attached to the sound hole. So it's not a very secure strap like a guitar, but is all that is necessary to keep it in balance if you're standing and playing, as long as you hold on with the other hand. And the picks are pretty, but I don't use them. I like the sound of strumming or thumbing better with the uke. Great job to ADM for making this high-quality instrument and keeping it affordable!

This is my first ukulele and I am extremely pleased with my purchase. The instrument is beautiful and I haven't noticed any flaws. A tag attached to one of the tuning pegs indicates that it's been strung with Aquila brand strings, which seem to be the #1 suggested string on the interwebs. It also arrived with the gig bag, strap, and picks as advertised, and I was pleasantly surprised to also find a tiny and extremely useful Swift A2 clip on tuner included as well. The sound quality seems to be good, and she plays loud and clear. The ukulele really is gorgeous and it feels well made. From a newbs perspective, I would definitely recommend this ukulele, and I don't think you will be disappointed in your purchase.
