ADM Violins have different sizes as 4/4, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8,1/10, and 1/16.
-4/4 = Full Size, Age 11 yrs+ to adult with an arm length of 23.5 and up
-3/4 = Age 10-11 yrs old with an arm length of 22 to 23.5
-1/2 = Age 8-9 yrs old with an arm length of 20" to 22"
-1/4 = Age 6-7 yrs old with an arm length of 17.6" to 20"
-1/8 = Age 5 yrs old with an arm length of 17.1" to 17.5"
-1/10 = Age 4 yrs old with an arm length of 15 3/8" to 17"
-1/16 = Age 2-3 yrs old with an arm length of 14" to 15 3/8"

I bought this for my daughter to start learning violin. It's good if you're not sure if it'll just be a hobby or taken seriously because it allows her to get a feel for instrument without spending too much money on a piece if she were to pursue this. It includes everything you need to get started and comes in a nice case to carry around to her lessons. I'm glad it comes with a one year warranty in case something does happen but it serves its purpose right now.
I bought two 3/4 violin for my two kids at the same time. One is more expensive and has very high customer review rating, the other is this one. I received them in one day and I took them to my son's violin teacher for tuning. He said this violin is very similar to the other one in quality, except the bow may be made better. Consider the price of this violin, I give 5 and I am very satisfied with it.
This is a great starter!! And my sons music teacher set it up and tuned it for us. She said it was the best one she has seen purchased online. I will probably buy one for my daughter. Remember this is not ready to play out of the box, bridge needs to be put on and it needs to be tuned.

Very nice violin for the price. My 9 year old wanted to start violin and the only ones available to rent from the teacher were full sized and too big for him. This 3/4 is the perfect size and he is enjoying practice much more. We did also buy a shoulder rest which helps greatly with positioning. His teacher mentioned this is higher quality than some of the other student violins they have purchased in the past. Very happy!
