I absolutely love this picnic blanket we go to a lot of outdoor activities as a family of 6 and this is perfect for us it is really large so all of us fit sitting on it and it's super soft material on the top and water proof plastic on the backing which makes it great because we used to just take a regular blanket and when the grass was damp or it rained that turned into a mess so I really like having the water proof backing . Also this blanket folds up very compactly with a carrying handle to make it easy to take on the go without taking up much space at all . It's made very well and has a Velcro closure to fold it back up . I love the plaid design as well . This blanket is well worth the purchase our family is very satisfied with it it's fabulous .

I have never used a picnic blanket before. If we sat outside, without our camp chairs, we usually sat on the grass. Which can be very uncomfortable with rocks, dirt clumps, sticks, ants…etc. So when I was approached to review this, I was really excited. Seeing that it is the very beginning of April, even the thought of going to the mountains, hiking up to a picture perfect spot and having a picnic isn’t really going to happen. So I decided to have the kids have their friends over to try it out (and of course I did too). I have got to say, I was (and am) very impressed with the quality of the blanket. It was large enough to hold 4 kids (and 1 toddler) and still have room left over. It didn’t rip when they were horsing around on it and was very easy to fold back up. The kids said that it was very comfortable to sit on. That they couldn’t even feel the sticks/rocks underneath it. And my 10 year old even decided to take a nap on it….lol. Or she was enjoying the sunshine. I am leaning towards nap. Would I buy this again? Yes Would I reccomend it to family and friends? Yes Age range: All ages.
This is good..I prob should have just bought a sleeping bag though. I am using it to cover the fold down bed in my RV so my large dogs can sleep on it without damaging anything. This does fold up nice, but I do not care for the crackling noise it makes...neither does my Golden...he is getting used to it though.
My family and I absolutely love our new HS Waterproof Picnic Blanket. It's HUGE, 73" x 80", I'm sure you could fit several adults and kids on it for a picnic. As soon as we received our order my kids and I went out back to lay it out and play. Our grass was damp from the rain we got the night before but the blanket and us stayed dry. The blanket is double sided, the front side is made of soft blue plaid fleece and the back is a black durable waterproof material. It folds up easily and you secure it with a Velcro flap. I love my new picnic blanket and my daycare kiddos are going to get a lot of use out of this when it warms up. We have been using one we bought at our local grocery but it is nowhere near as nice or thick as this one. My other picnic blanket is also not water resistant and it is not this BIG either. The material feels like nice quality, the stitching is nice and I love that you can pick the color you like. I chose the blue plaid blanket. The plaid side is soft with the other side being water resistant. The best part is this folds up so nicely and doesn’t take up much room at all. I also have an infant I plan to take outside with us this summer this will be a great place for her to roll and crawl around even when the grass is damp! The water resistant surface can be wiped clean or just throw the whole thing in the wash.
My waterproof picnic blanket arrived timely, well packaged and exceeded my expectations. This is an extremely nice and high quality outdoor blanket. It is also very large. I was amazed that this is true to size. It also features Velcro on both sides to hold closed and store easily in addition to making it easy to pack I'm addition to a handle fit carrying. The top of this is attractive and very comfortable. The material is soft and plush. But, on the opposite side is the water protection and you can actual feel that this has two sides as it adds a firmness to it when carrying. Although it's labeled as a picnic blanket this can be used for any outdoor outing. We first tested it out at an outdoor concert just a day after rain and you could see others coveting our blanket. While we had plenty of room and were completely dry everyone else looked packed in like sardines on their damp blankets. We've also used this picnicking at the park and at local ball games, date night star gazing (my favorite) and band competitions/practices. I am so pleased with this and am looking forward to nice days and evenings lounging outdoors on the comfort of dryness, softness and plenty of room.
Whenever we go to the beach, regular blankets just don't cut it. They get wet and when your sandy body goes on the blanket, you have a very uncomfortable blanket to sit on. It gets messy and I honestly can't stand it. So I was very eager to get this blanket. We are always at the beach so it came the day before we were expecting to go. Upon receiving it, I noticed how soft it was and it was nicely folded. So nice that I didn't expect this blanket to be big. But it was and a very awesome size. We went to the beach and opened it up. This blanket fit myself, my daughter, and my husband comfortably with a lot of room left to spare. Great size. So we went in the water and came back occasionally and it was nice to come back to a blanket that wasn't drenched. It didn't take on any water and left us with a comfortably dry blanket. It was a very nice change from others we have used in the past definitely. It didn't feel hot either. I thought because it looked and felt a little like flannel that it would be hot. It's breathable and airy. I have to say this blanket is fantastic. We will be getting a lot of use with this blanket and I can't wait for friends and family to come with us. They can most definitely fit. Highly recommend if you're a frequent beach goer or someone who just loves the outdoors.
We've never had a blanket made specifically for picnics or sitting on the ground, so I wasn't sure what to expect. We camp and hike a lot in the summer, and usually end up sitting on damp blankets or sleeping bags. We've also sat on wet blankets at outdoor concerts, and gotten sand in our bathing suits at the beach when our towels weren't big enough. Last night I sat outside on this HS picnic blanket and looked at the stars. Not only did it protect me from the dew on the grass, but it was just padded enough to keep grass and stones from poking me. When it got a little chilly and the mosquitoes were chasing me, I sat on one edge and used the rest like a blanket around my shoulders. When I got done, I just rolled it up and closed it with the Velcro flap - convenient and easy! I am very pleased with this picnic blanket, and look forward to using it a lot this summer. And when summer picnicking is over, I'm going to keep it in my car for road emergencies. LOVE LOVE this waterproof outdoor blanket! It is HUGE! I was looking for something for my kids and I to sit on that is comfortable, but wont get all wet when you lay it down on damp or wet grass. This does the job! NO water is absorbed at all! Its has a very soft fleece material on one side! It doesnt bunch up either if you move around on it. You can fit 4 adults (and a few kids) comfortably and can use it for picnics, concerts or just playing at the park. The blanket is lightweight and can easily be folded back up within minutes and not a hassle at all when I am lugging around my kids and everything else they need. The best part is that its very easy to clean, so you never have to worry about stains. I would HIGHLY recommend this. It also has a great handle that you can hold it from once you fold it up to make life easier!
So far it has worked very well. Not sure how to wash it but I think you will have to air dry.
Great blanket! Folds easily and is large enough for our family of four to enjoy a nice pick nick. Well made, the fleece is soft and will keep you warn when wrapped in it. The reverse side will keep the blanket dry while laying in wet grass. Very satisfied with this blanket.
