This Timber Ridge deluxe XL folding camp cot is the folding cots of all folding cots!! I expected just an ordinary camp cot when ordering but when it came I saw it was heavier than most complete with a bag to store or carry it in. The cot is made of 600D polyester rip stop which supports a 300 lb weight capacity. It also has a sturdy steel leg construction. It seems to be wider then most cots, so I don't have any fear of falling off. It's an easy cot to fold and unfold and sets up in no time at all. I appreciate the height of the cot as some I've looked at are low, but this one allows me to store my belongings underneath. And then, I'm able to swing my legs over and get off the cot. There is a little pad at the top of the cot that I surmised was for a pillow. I like the rubber tips on the legs of the cot so I don't have to worry about it tearing the tent floor. The cot and bag weigh somewhere around 27 lbs.

This is AMAZING. I have used cots before and they are typically very stiff and uncomfortable if you do not have mat or small air mattress under you. They are great for getting you off the ground and that makes it very easy to get in and out of the sleeping arrangement, but other than that the ones that I have tried did not usually offer much more of an advantage. This cot is very comfortable. It has just a bit of sag in the webbing that allows you to get comfortable rather than the afore mention stiff straight across versions. The oversized cot allows me at 6'2" and 250 lbs. to be very comfortable and actually roll in the middle of the night if I feel like it without feeling like I was going to roll off. The elevation of the cot is perfect for not messing up your back getting up and down from the ground. It also allows you to actually store all of your stuff under it thereby leaving much more room in your tent for keeping things organized. I used this in my four person tent and it allowed me to keep everything out of the way so that I could actually stand in front of the cot and get dressed or undressed easily. The cot was so comfortable for that I was able to give up my air pad to another person in our group, who had forgotten hers, and still sleep very soundly and comfortably. I would highly recommend this cot to anyone. You don't have to be a big guy to appreciate the comfort that you will have from this one.

This is a well-made cot. I like: its price, size, comfort, height, and sturdiness. I don't like: that it weighs 25 pounds, and that it takes some hands-on experience in setting it up and particularly in refolding it for storage. You'd think that unfolding, setting up and breaking down a cot would be a no-brainer, and the instructions make it look so, but it took me two tries to get it properly upright (a helper makes it a snap). Refolding was initially a mystery because mine wouldn't. The fabric got caught in the middle and tore when bringing the legs upright, requiring me to return one of the two I bought. Experience with this first one led me to realize that you have to adjust the fabric before moving the outer legs to the fold-up position. There is nothing in the instructions on refolding, leaving one to believe you just do the unfold in reverse, which is not the case. I like and will use the remaining cot, but likely will look around a bit before reordering the second one.
