I cannot even begin to express how excited I am about this patio umbrella! We have been hemming and hawing over buying a new patio umbrella for quite some time now as we want to make our outdoor space more useable and enjoyable during the summer months.
We live in an area that can get a little windy and don't want to put money into an umbrella that is just going to break within a month of using it. So we did a lot of research and narrowed it down between a few different umbrellas from a couple different companies. Since it's quite an investment, we wanted to make sure that we were making an educated decision. The Abba patio brand has a good reputation and the other brands we hadn't really heard of so that's why we decided to go with this one.
As soon as it was delivered my husband went right to work to assemble it. Start to finish it took less than a half an hour as most of the umbrella is already assembled. It is very heavy so we assembled it right in the spot that we were going to use it. Even though the listing says yellow it is much more of a tannish butter yellow then a true yellow. The stand and pole are a nice dark brown that matches our patio set.
As far as installation goes it comes with an easy to follow 8 step direction sheet which includes showing you how to open and close the umbrella. For the assembly, you're basically just assembling the cross arms for the base and then placing the pole on to the cross base.
The umbrella itself is made out of very high-quality materials both the fabric and the metal in both the pool and ribs of the umbrella. It is important to note that the weights are not included. In order to actually use this umbrella you will need to use some form of weights on the base. We have not decided on the weights that we are planning on using yet as you can choose patio concrete blocks that are 20 inches across or you can buy more decorative weights that are made out of plastic and fill with water or sand to hold the weight of the umbrella.
The tilt features on this umbrella are very easy to use and easily shields a very large area from the bright sun. A nice added bonus to this umbrella that we were not expecting was a very nice cover to keep it protected when you are not using it. The cover itself is made out of waterproof material with a nice quality zipper and has a pole inserted inside of the cover so that you can easily place it over the top of the tall umbrella and zip it closed. You can tell by the quality of this umbrella that it will last years and years. I couldn't be happier with this purchase!

I can't say enough good things about this patio umbrella! After review several different options to make our patio area more relaxing and cut the sun we decided to give the Abba umbrella a shot and we are very happy we did!

Good umbrella for the price. You will need to secure this to the ground and collapse it in windy conditions as it moves a lot when the wind gets under it.
