I absolutely love this base! It is designed to stabilize a cantilever offset umbrella. It comes in four separate triangular pieces to fit between each space in the cross base of the umbrella. This umbrella base is very easy to open to fill with sand, water, etc... This base will add over 100lbs to prevent the Umbrella from falling over. This base is a great asset to our umbrella stand! It is very, very durable and very easy to maintain. I'm so glad we have this base for those months, when the wind is blowing really bad. We don't have to worry about our umbrella falling over!
This Umbrella Base is designed to stabilize a cantilever patio umbrella. This is a perfect fit for our cross bottom umbrella. It comes in four separate triangular pieces to fit between each space in the cross base of the umbrella. The four separate pieces make it easy to fill with sand and maneuver into it’s place even with the added weight. The Umbrella Base is easy to open, fill, and recap to contain the added sand. This can add over 150lbs to prevent the Umbrella from tipping over under windy conditions. We often have wind here at our home. Which was one of the reasons we wanted the Cantilever umbrella, as it can be tilted nearly vertically to shield us from both the wind and sun. Now it is easy to position our umbrella wherever and however we would like it to be without fear of it tipping over and ruining our deck party.
The base so far seems to work exactly as it is meant to.Filling it with sand was tedious but it now is in place keeping our brolly stable. The assembly was extremely simple, and I was easy to move it in place myself. I've been shopping around for an umbrella base for quite some time, and the price for the Abba Patio Plastic Base was easily the best. I highly recommend it!
This is a very nice looking base. It's flat and won't interfere with the table nor your feet under the table. I like that it has flat surfaces which will make it easier to put additional weights on it and keep them on the base. We haven't had a chance to try it out in a higher wind as it's just been mostly still since we got it. We got this really fast.
