I had been researching vibration platforms for awhile before I decided to purchase this one by Emer. I had first been introduced to them following shoulder surgery by my physical therapist. Twice a week during my physical therapy session, my therapist would have me hold a strap connected to a vibration platform for up to 10 minutes and change the position of my arm every 2-3 minutes. When I asked the purpose of this, she explained that it increased blood flow and helped to strengthen the muscles in the affected area. After I had completed my physical therapy sessions, I became even more curious about these machines and decided to do some research. I found that they can be used on almost any part of the body and through the use of handheld straps and various body positions, they can have a significant impact on an individual's health. They can be used for weight loss and muscle strengthening and toning because of the effect on the various muscle groups while the platform vibrates. They also have been used for treating bone loss and helping with balance issues in older adults.
Since I have had a few injuries in my life and wanted to tone and strengthen those injured areas, in addition to improving my overall muscle tone, I decided to purchase this platform to see if it would make a difference in my health.
First off, this platform is a convenient size. It measures approximately 32"x18" so it doesn't take up a lot of space. It is a bit heavy for me to lift but I've found that by placing a throw rug underneath it, I can simply pull the rug and platform to the side of my room when I have finished using it for the day. It does have an on/off button located on the side which glows red to indicate that the unit has been powered on. It also has a removable non slip surface, suction cups on the base to provide stability and reduce slippage, a power remote and a set of two balance straps. To operate the unit, you plug it in to a wall outlet, flip the switch to on and use the remote to set the mode, program and power level. There is an indicator panel on the top of the platform which tells you the the mode, program, and speed you are currently working in. This product has three modes; up/down, left/right, and up/down/left/right. It also has one manual program mode and three automatic program modes. There are 10 speed levels and the remote allows you to increase or decrease the speed as needed. The instruction manual that is included with the product does give some basic information on the types of positions that can be used and what areas they will benefit. I found much more information available online however than what the manual provides. I have been using this platform for over a week now and am thoroughly enjoying it. I actually look forward to using it everyday. I've begun incorporating squats in conjunction with the platform to increase the overall effects. If what I've read is true, simply using this machine for 15 minutes a day at a minimum of 3-4 times per week is enough to reap the benefits of this machine and is equivalent to a full body workout. I obviously am too early in my usage to be able to report any physical changes to my body but I feel that I am deriving some benefits from its use. I have been debating on getting a gym membership for quite some time but it's never easy to wrangle up all of the kids and get a promise of good behavior while mommy works out. After doing a lot of reading I decided to purchase this platform because it offers so many options that can be used in conjunction with other home workout methods. It is incredibly well built, feels sturdy and the remote is a huge plus. I was not expecting to work my core as much as I did while using the platform. It really does work the whole body! It came with two bands that provided resistance to strengthen my arms. They can be easily attached or unattached depending on the workout. The platform really is anti-slip and there's no need to worry about falling off. This thing is great! I was a little skeptical at first. I had never used a vibrating platform, but I have read other reviews and done some research. You can tell only ten minutes or so into using this that it makes your workout more strenuous. The platform rocks a little bit from side to side and vibrates. There are many different settings for speed and intensity as well as different programs. There are all easy to dial in via remote. The remote is small and compact so you can easily hold it in your hand while balancing. This platform is very sturdy. The metal attachments for the bungee cord handles are very strong. There is an on/off button on the top of this device for easy access incase you are away from your remote. The wall plug is thick and sturdy and it can be removed from the machine. It seems like it would be very easy to replace this plug if it was lost, or if you wanted a longer one. It is not soldered to the circuit board and non-removeable like some other units I have seen. the rubber feet on the bottom help from the machine moving too much. I'm not sure if it comes in other colors. The aqua color was the fist color I saw and I liked it a lot so I chose that. This comes with an instruction manual, not only for how to operate the machine but it includes many tips on different work outs and poses to use. I was not familiar with all of them. My wife loves to use this platform as well. I would say it is a game changer for working out at home! It easily tucks under the table on the side of our couch. If your couch had decent clearance you may be able to slide it under. I would double check the dimensions. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a better at home workout. I really like this machine. I was skeptical at first but after getting the hang of this, I really enjoy it. It is a vibrating platform that helps you improve your stability while you strengthen your core. It comes with an anti slip mat so you don't have to worry about slipping off while you're using the machine. It also includes suction cups on the bottom... these are a fantastic addition. The platform stays in place while you're using it. I can't imagine having to worry about the platform moving all over the place while balancing.

The removable silica mat is convenient so you can actually take it off to clean. The cord that came with the machine is pretty short so you might want to consider getting an extension cord. This product also comes with two bands so you can do arm exercises while keeping your balance on the machine.

I have an ankle injury that prohibits me from any excessive walking and forget about jogging or running. I have been looking for some kind of exercise equipment that would still get my heart rate pumping but not affect my ankle to where I couldn't do it anymore. After much discussion with my doctor she suggested a vibration platform machine. She told me that she has seen other patients of her's get great health benefits from using them. So because I am an avid Amazon shopper I set out to find one that wouldn't break the bank. I opted on the Emer machine because of all the functions that were available. I liked that were several modes/settings so that I can work different areas. The balance bungee cords are great. I started out holding them both and within a week of working out on the machine I went to holding one - I'm not completely secure with my balance to not use them at all - yet. It is quite heavy so I found a spot in my living room that is out of the way and I can just roll it over to the center of the room and watch some tv while I work out. I do 10 minutes on each of 3 levels, then I try to do 10 reps of each of the exercises that are suggested in the manual. So far so good, my ankle is not hurting and I can definitely feel that it's getting my heart rate up there for a good cardio workout. I have been using the machine for just about 2 weeks now daily. I keep the remote control in the hand that this free from the balance cord and I am able to change the settings without getting off the machine as well. I am very pleased with my purchase!!
This is a really cool whole-body vibrating machine! It is very sturdy and functions exactly as it should. It’s a great idea for exercising! I didn’t realize how effective it was until I tried it. The instructions are a little confusing, but definitely read them first. It says to balance the speed of the vibration with your weight. You just stand on it, turn it on, click the start button on the remote, and begin your exercises. It moves from side to side, and the sides move up and down. It moves fast, so I find myself using my stomach and leg muscles to keep myself balanced. It also has modes where it will automatically speed up, slow down, change modes in the cycle, and eventually stop. I like to use it while stretching, or doing arm exercises. It is a huge added workout to your daily routine!
