I have been heating my home primarily with wood for the last 5 years. My family and I love the warm cozy heat put off by a wood stove. The problem is, it can be a big mess. I have been keeping my wood on pallets outside for years, but they are beginning to fall apart and the wood more or less just ends up on the ground because there is nothing to keep the logs from rolling down the side.
I decided to get this rack for outside use because I have one just like it (only much smaller) next to the wood stove and I love it. FIrstly, this thing is BIG! It can hold a LOT of wood, and it gets it a good 8 inches up off the ground (and away from unwanted slithering and furry guests.) Because it has sides, it holds more wood more securely than stacking it on pallets and it makes it easy to put a tarp over to keep it dry. I might just buy two more of these to hold an entire heating season worth of wood neatly.
It is worth noting that it was very easy to put together. It only took about 15 minutes to do by myself, but you will need tools that are not included in the package to do it. I used a pair of Vice-grips and an adjustable wrench.

I have been looking for a good sturdy firewood stand for quite a while now this firewood log stand comes in very handy now that we have a fire pit i am now able to store wood off the ground and not have to worry about it rotting fast sitting on the ground. This log rack is huge it it 8 foot long and you will be able to stack a ton of fire wood on this thing. The log rack does not come with any kid of directions but it can easily be put together just by looking at the picture. This thing comes with everything you need to assemble plus tools to tighten up the bolts it is made of very thick steel it is a very heavy duty and very well made fire log rack i am very impressed by the way this is made.The rack is also painted and seems to be sealed very well to prevent it from rusting in the weather it is also the perfect width for any most sized pieces of would that you would cut up to burn..Overall i am very happy with this log rack i cant wait to fill this thing up with firewood now If you are looking for a very nice sturdy fire log rack than this one is very nice it would even work great inside the home to stack wood also.

Easy to assemble and works as advertised. The only cons I would say is - it's too big for me, it will be a good size for a big family or family who uses a lot of fire logs. Also, I suggest the manufacturer considers make it to be more versatile, such as can be assembled into 2 layers instead of a single layer which takes too much space.

This is going to be a very handy rack. My in laws use wood so we are going to surprise them with it. After getting thing put together it is MUCH bigger than what I was expecting it to be. I knew it was supposed to be big but I never thought it was going to be this big. Its a good thing because it will hold much more wood. When we got it and started to put it together we realized it didn't come with any instructions but I just pulled up the listing and went by the picture. It wasn't hard to put together but the little wrenches that was with it just wasn't tightening up the bolts so my husband used his socket and ratchet to finish it so it went up in no time. My husband said he really liked the lock nuts that was included because they dont back off.
Once put together it is really nice and sturdy. It is made of steel and looks well put together.It should hold a half a rick of wood no problem. Now my family can keep their winter wood all neat and organized and up out of the floor and it looks great too. I think this would be a great investment to anyone who uses wood heat. I would highly recommend this to everyone.

This firewood log rack is exactly what we have been looking for. My husband has a wood stove at his shop for heat. He goes through a lot of wood during the winter months. Now he can stack the wood to have a better look. I personally think it's harder to stack wood, if you don't have a rack. The size is 87"L x 14" W x 46" H so it holds a LOT of wood. We have recently had a lot of rain so all of our wood floated away. This rack will allow us to replenish the stash that we did have. It allows the wood to stand off the ground so you don't have to worry about wood sitting on the ground. My husband did assemble the log rack. He said it was easy to put together. I did hold the end braces in place for him to tighten the screws. It seems to be very sturdy even without any wood in it. I just know it's going to be super nice to have to stack our wood for the winter.

Other than some of our logs not being long enough to stay up on the rack I was very impressed. We have to have sorter logs for our stove so we may put a board down on top of the rack before we stack it full for winter.
The rack has a nice black finish that actually looks really nice next to our black wood burning stove. I can't wait to get it filled up for winter to see how long we can go off just one load of wood.

I love this firewood rack. When it comes to weather you know how unpredictable mother nature can be and there is nothing worse than trying to have a fire with wet wood. This rack keeps my wood nice and neat and off the wet ground. I am also able to cover it with a nice tarp. Normally my firewood is just piled on the ground and the bottom pieces become wet nasty messes when it rains. I also know from experience that if you live in a place that has freezing rain or snow the bottom becomes "stuck" to the ground. I wish I had invested in something like this when I lived in NY.
