Very happy with the new umbrella canopy. After I put it up, I was at work and we had a huge rain and windstorm. I came home and found the wind had picked up the umbrella and I found it laying at the end of the street! Only one tiny tear at one of the pockets where the ribs stick in. I sewed it myself and it is fine. Happy with the fabric and we will see how long it is before it fades in the hot CA sun. Most umbrellas only last at most 1 yr. where I live. I noticed this fabric is different from the polyester ones I usually buy. So far I am impressed with this umbrella and will make sure to check the weather forecast before I go to work!
This replacement canopy replaced our 5 year old market umbrella canopy, which deteriorated after being outside every day, all year long. It installed easily, looks properly taut in place and has a clean, and certainly new, looking feel which complements our yard. The fabric is as dense as our original canopy and so far, water beads up and runs right off.
