I absolutely love this umbrella base! It is designed to stabilize a cantilever offset umbrella. It comes in four separate triangular pieces to fit between each space in the cross base of the umbrella. This umbrella base is very easy to open to fill with sand, water, etc... This base will add over 100lbs to prevent the Umbrella from falling over. This base is a great asset to our umbrella stand! It is very, very durable and very easy to maintain. I'm so glad we have this base for those months, when the wind is blowing really bad. We don't have to worry about our umbrella falling over!
This Umbrella Base is designed to stabilize a cantilever patio umbrella. This is a perfect fit for our cross bottom umbrella. It comes in four separate triangular pieces to fit between each space in the cross base of the umbrella. The four separate pieces make it easy to fill with sand and maneuver into it’s place even with the added weight. The Umbrella Base is easy to open, fill, and recap to contain the added sand. This can add over 150lbs to prevent the Umbrella from tipping over under windy conditions. We often have wind here at our home. Which was one of the reasons we wanted the Cantilever umbrella, as it can be tilted nearly vertically to shield us from both the wind and sun. Now it is easy to position our umbrella wherever and however we would like it to be without fear of it tipping over and ruining our deck party.
The base so far seems to work exactly as it is meant to.Filling it with sand was tedious but it now is in place keeping our brolly stable. The assembly was extremely simple, and I was easy to move it in place myself. I've been shopping around for an umbrella base for quite some time, and the price for the Abba Patio Plastic Base was easily the best. I highly recommend it!
This is a very nice looking base. It's flat and won't interfere with the table nor your feet under the table. I like that it has flat surfaces which will make it easier to put additional weights on it and keep them on the base. We haven't had a chance to try it out in a higher wind as it's just been mostly still since we got it. We got this really fast.

This base plate set is exactly what we needed for our cantilever umbrella that we purchased for our Lanai. Filling it with sand was tedious but it now is in place keeping our brolly stable. Looks good, too.
I purchased this base due to my umbrella not staying in place. I have an outside table but being here in Florida it is often rainy and windy and I got tired of getting my umbrella from my neighbors home. I am very pleased with this base. Since it fits in between the current base already attached to the umbrella. Without it the umbrella would tip over unless we used bricks to anchor it down and that just didn't look good with this nice looking umbrella. But this base comes in 4 triangular pieces all you have to do is fill it with the funnel that came with it with either sand or water. We are using sand since we had extra sand left from our building this past summer. We don't have to about the umbrella tipping over anymore and it makes the umbrella look even better. Assembly was nothing.
